Well we decided to buy an Aprilia RS125 and try it out, this wasn’t the plan for this year Superteens as Brad is still only 11 and not 12 until March and we were going to keep him on Pre GP Bikes.
The main difference is the RS125 is a road bike for older teenagers to ride on the road, has more than twice the weight and a 3rd bigger than a Pre GP Bike which is made only to race, power to weight is about the same, but it is a big bike for an 11 year old.
Don’t really know what to say, suprised us all after about 30 minutes in and a couple of sessions, Brad was well into the pace of the circuit and other riders with more experience, gaining confidence with every practice session and by the end of the day was lapping as comfortably as his Pre GP Bikes.
So it now looks like we have a bike to use for Superteens
